A bit of history about the bakery: It was established in 2003 by Phil
and Traci Simi who established their sourdough as a Redding favorite. In
October of 2008, Spencer & Wendy Tang, as well as their 5
daughters, purchased the bakery. In January of 2009, the Tangs partnered
with Linetter Soderwall, the owner of Happiness Baking Company, to
bring the "sweet side" to From the Hearth Bakery.
Aloha! The Tang Family moved from Honolulu, Hawaii in May of '08 here
to Redding. Although we miss the islands, the people of Redding have
been a real treasure to us. Our desire is to see God's blessing be
poured out to our customers, our neighbors and our friends. We are
thankful that Redding is our home!
